Does the USA eSIM include unlimited data?

Yes. ETravelSim offers truly unlimited USA eSIM plans for 7, 10, 15, and 30 days. You get 4 GB per day at full 5G/LTE speed, then unlimited usage at 1 Mbps. The 4 GB daily allowance refreshes every 24 hours.

Is the USA eSIM really unlimited? What is the fair-use policy?

Yes — there is no monthly cap. The fair-use policy is 4 GB per day at full 5G speed, then unlimited browsing at 1 Mbps. This is higher than Holafly's 3 GB/day and Airalo's 3 GB/day full-speed allowances.

Which carriers does the USA eSIM use?

ETravelSim's USA eSIM connects to T-Mobile and AT&T (5G/LTE). Data + Calls plans are powered by Lycamobile, which uses T-Mobile's network and provides a real US +1 number.

Can I get a US phone number with an eSIM?

Yes. ETravelSim's USA Data + Calls plans (12 GB, 30 GB, 50 GB at $24, $30, $36 for 30 days) include a real US +1 number with free incoming calls and unlimited US-to-US outgoing calls. No other major travel eSIM offers this.

Can I use hotspot/tethering on the USA eSIM?

Hotspot is supported on limited-data plans (1 GB to 50 GB). Hotspot is not supported on unlimited plans. Use a limited plan if you need to share data with a laptop or tablet.

Does the USA eSIM cover Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico?

The eSIM works across the continental USA via T-Mobile and AT&T. Coverage in Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico depends on the underlying carrier roaming agreement — confirm with support before traveling. (See: customer support, response in <60 sec.)

Does the USA eSIM support 5G?

Yes. All ETravelSim USA plans support 5G where T-Mobile or AT&T 5G is available, with automatic LTE fallback.

When should I activate my USA eSIM?

Install the eSIM before you travel by scanning the QR code from your email. The validity period only starts when the eSIM connects to a US network — usually after you land. Do not delete the profile after install.

How long does USA eSIM activation take?

Activation is instant — the QR code is emailed within 60 seconds of purchase. Installation on iPhone or Android takes about 2 minutes. The plan timer starts when your phone connects to T-Mobile or AT&T in the USA.

Will the USA eSIM work on my iPhone?

The USA eSIM works on unlocked iPhones from XR and XS onwards: iPhone 11 to iPhone 17 (all variants), iPhone 16e, iPhone 17e, iPhone Air, iPhone 18 Pro / 18 Pro Max, iPhone Duo and iPhone SE (2020/2022). Some iPhones sold in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao have no eSIM, so check for an EID under Settings → General → About before buying.

Will the USA eSIM work on my Android?

Yes, on unlocked eSIM-capable Android phones: Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer (up to the Galaxy S26 series, Z Fold8 and Z Flip8), Google Pixel 3 and newer (up to Pixel 11), and recent Motorola razr, OnePlus and Xiaomi models. Galaxy phones bought in mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, and some older South Korean models, may not support eSIM. Dial *#06#: if an EID appears, your phone supports eSIM.

Can I keep my home number active while using the USA eSIM?

Yes. eSIM-enabled phones support dual-SIM, so your home SIM remains active for calls and texts while ETravelSim's USA eSIM provides data (and a US number on Data + Calls plans). Set ETravelSim as the default mobile data line in Settings.

What happens if I run out of data on a limited plan?

You can top up the same eSIM with a recharge plan from etravelsim.com without removing or reinstalling the profile. Recharge is processed in minutes.

What happens after my plan validity ends?

The eSIM stops providing data when validity expires. You can either delete the profile or top up with another USA plan to keep using the same line.

Can I use the same eSIM for a future USA trip?

Yes, if you top up before the validity expires, the same profile is reusable. If validity expired, you may need a new plan; contact support to keep the same line.

Does the USA eSIM include calls and SMS?

Data-only plans include only mobile data. Data + Calls plans (12 GB / 30 GB / 50 GB at $24 / $30 / $36) include a US +1 number, free incoming calls, unlimited US-to-US calls, and SMS.

Is ETravelSim's USA eSIM cheaper than roaming?

Yes — international roaming on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile typically costs $10–$16 per day. ETravelSim's 1 GB plan is $3.50 for 30 days, and unlimited is $59 for 30 days — over 80% cheaper than carrier roaming for a 2-week US trip.

How do I install a USA eSIM on iPhone?

Settings → Mobile Service → Add eSIM → Use QR Code → scan the QR ETravelSim emailed → confirm. Set it as default for mobile data. Activation completes in about 2 minutes.

How do I install a USA eSIM on Android?

Settings → Connections → SIM Manager → Add eSIM → scan the QR code emailed by ETravelSim. Confirm and label it. Wait 1–2 minutes for activation.

What if my USA eSIM doesn't work on landing?

Toggle Airplane Mode on/off, restart, and confirm Data Roaming is on. If the issue persists, contact support@etravelsim.com or +6592361258 on WhatsApp; 24×7 response.

Can I use ETravelSim USA eSIM in Canada or Mexico?

No. The USA eSIM works only in the USA. For Canada and Mexico, use ETravelSim's North America plan (USA + Canada + Mexico) instead.

Quick, efficient, cost effective and it worked!

My wife has a youtube channel doing style and fashion for over 50 women (https://www.youtube.com/@50FabulouswithMyFriendDeirdre) . We were off to the USA for a few weeks for a working holiday. We are very data hungry. So the 30 day unlimited data and calls was a great fit for our needs and a great price.

Works lovely 4G at&t but you need manually setup apn. Delete 02 apn and set matrix as name and write globaldata as apn. All rest leave blank.

Very good coverage. App worked well.

No issues with app for USA eSIM. Also had Panama on same trip but that did not work well. Showed on app to install but it seemed to be installed on phone. However was not able to confirm until I arrived in Panama.

Works perfectly

Worked most of the time - a bit

ESim for USA. Only 4G the most of the time. Some Apps working fine, some barely. Support on Whatsapp had only "there are no restrictions on our end" to say and didn't even try to improve the situation. Not again.
